Treachery at Large

I have trodden
On many a treacherous paths,
Though not treacherous--
in the treacherous sense,
Yet treacherous e'er they were.

In thine perilous web..
Thou hath me enthralled,
From mine own true self..
Was I forever stonewalled.

At last! Eyes wide!
I saw of that which was left in hide..
The gleam of youth doth time delay,
The plight of life in molt portray.

Love cures,
Supposing love..
Lasting patience holds.
Many a times..
Likewise..
Love doth not suffice.

On Looking Inward

I look at myself today...
And realize all the gray..
All the long hard strewn flare,
Is showing itself off at bare.
All the joy and the pain...
Intermingled..
and interplayed.

So...I asked this at myself today,
"Have I got a wee to vouch for..
at my narrow self designated way?"
